Roller bearings

Discover the different roller bearings that we offer in our online shop. Roller bearings can be divided into the following types: cylindrical roller bearings (axial or radial), tapered roller bearings, barrel bearings, spherical roller bearings and CARB toroidal roller bearings. They are primarily used to fix axles, shafts, for example in electric motors, gears or conveyor belts in the heavy-duty industry and run between the inner and outer ring on hardened steel surfaces. Further areas of application would be deflection rollers for the paper industry, pressure rollers for combustion machines in pellet plants or sintering tools and back-up rollers in rolling mills. Application-specific lubrication plays a decisive role here. Good lubricant distribution and heat dissipation from the bearing, especially important at high speeds and loads, are therefore essential. Since lubricants separate the metallic surfaces of the bearing components during operation, thereby minimizing wear and friction losses in the roller bearing, the overall state of lubrication in the bearing and possible additive reactions are of great importance when selecting the lubricant. The formation of an optimal hydrodynamic lubricating film promotes the low-friction running of the rollers. Failure to comply with relubrication intervals and the right choice of low-friction grease for miniature and precision bearings can also have a major impact on the service life of a bearing. Needle roller bearings
Needle roller bearings are roller bearings with rather very thin rolling elements in relation to their length, the so-called needle rollers. Despite their low cross-sectional height, they have a high load-bearing capacity, which is why needle roller bearings are used in vehicle technology, for example the release bearing in cars between the clutch and gearbox. Other areas of application would be, for example, packaging machines or printing machines. For very special areas of application, there are bearings made of stainless steel or ceramic, the so-called hybrid bearings, in which the bearing rings are made of steel, but the rolling elements are made of ceramic. The surface coating plays an important role in increasing the resistance of rolling bearings against wear, environmental influences and the passage of current and thereby generally extending the service life of needle roller bearings. The layers are applied to the components using various physical and chemical processes. The INA brand, for example, has developed the INA Corrotect® coating, also known as Triond, against rust, the enemy of every rolling bearing. In the case of particularly high wear and tear, a thin, ceramic-like hard material layer is used here.
