The contract logistics service provider Bohnen Logistik, which belongs to the duisport Group, will operate a modern central warehouse for beer and wine products in Werne, Westphalia, for Heineken Deutschland GmbH from March 1, 2019.

The logistics market is becoming more complex and presents us with new challenges. We are all the more pleased to have found a partner in Bohnen Logistik who optimally supports us in our plans to grow sustainably in Germany, Anton Relyovski, Supply Chain Director at Heineken Germany.

Bohnen Logistik developed the logistics concept together with Heineken Germany and thus created a future-proof and sustainable solution for Heineken Germany. In addition to the production disposal of the Heineken breweries with their own vehicle fleet, Bohnen Logistik takes on the storage and order picking as well as the delivery of several hundred articles in barrels and crates for Heineken Germany in the 15,000 square meter German central warehouse.

Bohnen Logistik has been an experienced logistics service provider in the beverage industry for decades. We are proud that our company is now taking over the nationwide logistics for the German subsidiary of Europe's largest beer brewer Heineken, says duisports CEO Erich Staake.

Heineken is the world's most international brewer. The company is the leading manufacturer and supplier of premium beer and cider. Led by the Heineken brand, the company has a broad portfolio of more than 250 international, regional and local beers and cider drinks. The company employs around 73,500 people in more than 165 breweries in 70 countries. Heineken N.V. and Heineken Holding N.V. Shares are traded on the Euronext in Amsterdam.
