Most of the time when the phone screen turns black and not responding for no apparent reason. This is a firmware crash. The same applies to devices that are charged overnight, but turned out to be dead in the morning and cannot be switched on again. Troubleshooting Note 8 not responding to a forced restart

I understand that some owners are reluctant to troubleshoot their devices, especially new Android users. If you are not satisfied with the steps below, simply take the phone to the service center so that a Samsung technician can meet you. When you're ready to take a few steps to see if the phone is spinning, I recommend the following:

Check for signs of physical and / or fluid damage

  4. Remove the SIM card tray and find the liquid damage indicator (LDI) in the SIM slot.

Try charging your phone to see if it would respond

Boot the phone into recovery mode

  1. Press and hold the Volume Down button and the Bixby button, then press and hold the Power button.
  2. When the green Android logo appears, release all buttons (“Install System Update” will appear for about 30 to 60 seconds before the Android System Recovery menu options appear).
  3. Press the Volume Down key several times to highlight "Wipe Cache Partition".
  4. Press the Power button to select.

  7. Press the power button to restart the device.

  4. Press the Power button to select.
  5. Press the Volume Down button until "Yes - Delete All User Data" is highlighted.

  7. When the master reset is complete, "Reboot System Now" will be highlighted.
  8. Press the power button to restart the device.
